This week, the YOmegas gathered feedback from our first design review and modified our CAD models to reflect the advice given.
Some of the changes that we made include:
- making our parts thinner and with a relatively uniform thickness
- modifying our center snap fit design
- added draft angles that correspond to how we plan on making the molds
Given the complexity of our bottom housing, we chose to focus on making a mold for that part first.

Here you can see the draft angles we put in, the ejection pins and the runner in our mold.

We also entertained the idea of getting more creative with our arrow and we drafted up an alternative arrow idea: a bottle!

Another aesthetic change is our "window" piece: rather than just having it be a flat piece of plastic, we decided to add some curvature to it to bring some 3-dimensionality to our toy.

Questions for staff/peers:
- is there anything that looks like it can't be manufactured?
- customization? Are we allowed to create different versions (color wheel, arrow)?
Feedback:
- maybe need to add multiple gates to the mold (start with 1 and then see how it goes)
- add weight to the ends of bottle (don't offset, keep center of mass in the middle)
- make sure thicknesses of parts are at least 1/16" (smallest end mill we have)
- adjust according to picture below:
